️. Double-fold the pocket opening allowance towards the wrong side (2 cm [3/4”] each time), press it down, and sew a securing seam about 1 mm from the inner pressed edge. Give it another good press.

️. On your paper pattern (template), make reference marks for alignment. The more of these you have, the more precise and easier pocket placement will be.

️. Mark the pocket on your garment. Trace alignment marks to the garment and to the wrong side of the pocket piece.

️. Place the pocket face down on your garment, aligning the seam allowance line on the pocket with the pocket line marked on the garment.

️. Stitch all around the pocket piece 1 cm (3/8”) away from the edge. While doing this, make sure to match the alignment marks on the pocket and the garment. Backstitch at the beginning and end for durability.

️. Finally, press your finished pocket.
