I prefer creating this pattern with draping fabric rather than standard suiting wool. This version is made from silk sourced from an upcycled kimono. If you have used a three-piece waistband pattern, you can opt for a different waistband style, as this one-piece waistband tends to leave a gap at the top of my waist.
