Evangeline is a close-fitting, fully lined gown with a flared skirt, train, and open shoulders. The corset-style top of the dress is shaped with princess seams at the front and back. The side pieces of the lining as well as all the vertical seams of the lining are stiffened with rigilene boning. The heart-shaped neckline is low. The set-in, close-fitting sleeves are long, flared towards the bottom, and feature elasticated casings at the top for a snug fit. The dress fastens with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The princess seams at the back feature rouleau loops for the satin lacing. The dress is floor-length at the front, with a long train at the back. The outer shell of the dress is made up of the lace and satin layers. At the bottom, the satin layer is finished with the lining, while the lace layer remains hanging free. The dress features lace scallops along the neckline and hemline.
Recommended materials:
The outer shell of the dress is made up of the lace and satin layers.
The lace fabric should be soft, thin, and non-stretch. The fiber content can include synthetic fibers (polyester) or viscose. The following fabrics are recommended for the lace layer: Chantilly lace, corded lace, guipure lace, mesh embellished with beads and lace, spot mesh, glitter mesh.
For the main layer, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, pliable, soft, non-stretch, opaque
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (silk + polyester, silk + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knits, stretch mesh, and stretch lace fabrics.
You may omit the lace layer and use the opaque main fabric layer only.
For the lining, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties: medium weight, soft, non-stretch, similar to the main layer fabric to avoid garment distortion. We recommend choosing the main fabric for the lining.
The dress in the photo is made of scalloped Chantilly lace. The scallops are attached to the neckline and hemline of the dress separately. The main layer and lining are made of satin. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 280 g/m2.

The dress is made of tulle, corset mesh, and lace fabric embroidered with sequins, beads, and tube beads. The bodice is shaped with the princess seams reinforced with rigilene boning both at the front and back. The wrap-style effect at the front is achieved with ruched overlay pieces. The back bodice is made of tulle and corset mesh and features a lacing detail. The dress fastens with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The skirt of the dress features slits of various height with double-layer tulle flounces in them. The center back flounce is designed as a train. The skirt is fully lined with corset mesh. Azura is below-ankle length.
Approximate sewing time — 4 days (30 hours).
Recommended materials:
To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, pliable, soft, non-stretch
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (silk + polyester, silk + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)
- the following fabrics are recommended: corset mesh, tulle, lace fabric.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knits, stretch mesh, and stretch lace fabrics.
As the main fabric, we recommend using medium weight, soft, non-stretch corset mesh. The lace fabric should be soft, pliable, and non-stretch. Choose fabrics made of synthetic fibers (polyester).
For the cups, we recommend using 3 mm (1/8") thick bra foam. The foam is double-faced. The fiber content is polyester + cotton.
For casings and rouleau loops, we recommend using non-stretch, opaque, medium weight, soft fabrics. The fiber content can include artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + polyester, etc.), or synthetics (polyester).
The dress in the photo is made of embroidered lace fabric and double-layer corset mesh. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, soft, non-stretch, and sheer. One layer of corset mesh serves as the skirt lining. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The slits are finished with flounces made of tulle. The fabric is lightweight, pliable, soft, and sheer. The fiber content is 100% polyester.
The cups are made of 3 mm (1/8") thick bra foam. The outer side of the foam is covered with 100% polyester knit fabric, while the inner side is finished with 100% cotton jersey knit.
The casings and rouleau corset loops for lacing are made of silk satin. The fabric is medium weight, soft, and non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester.

Attention! Since the lace pattern repeat can vary in size and the fabric pattern can run across the grain, it will probably be impossible to place pattern pieces close to each other during the layout. To avoid extra expenses, we recommend cutting out the paper pattern pieces in advance and taking them to the fabric store with you so you can figure out the exact fabric requirements on the spot.

Genevieve is a fully lined evening gown with a close-fitting bodice and a voluminous skirt. The dress features an accentuated waist due to the waist seam that is dropped at the front and sits at the natural waistline at the back. The corset bodice of the dress is shaped with princess seams. All the bodice seams are reinforced with rigilene boning. The neckline is curved and low at the front and V-shaped at the back. The fancy sleeves feature horizontal tucks. The skirt of the dress is bias-cut and flares towards the bottom. It has a front seam continuing the left princess seam of the bodice that splits into a long slit. The dress closes with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. Genevieve is floor-length at the front with a long train at the back.
Recommended materials
To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- heavyweight or medium weight, non-stretch, structured, opaque, thin
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (silk + polyester, silk + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)
- the following fabrics are recommended: jacquard, satin, brocade, taffeta, crystal organza
The skirt of the dress is bias-cut, so it's important to choose lining fabric similar to the main fabric in terms of properties. The lining fabric should also be structured and non-stretch. Even the slightest difference in the properties of the main fabric and lining can cause distortion in the final garment.
For the lining, we recommend choosing batiste. The fiber content is 52% viscose and 48% polyester. The fabric weight is 60–100 g/m2. Lightweight, non-stretch, and crisp natural or artificial silk is also a good option. You may use the main fabric as the lining if it's not scratchy or rough on the skin.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy, heavy, flexible fabrics (silk with elastane, stretch lace).
The dress in the photo is made of double-faced taffeta. The fabric is medium weight, light, structured, opaque, and non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 250 g/m2. The lining fabric for the skirt is made of batiste. The fiber content is 52% viscose and 48% polyester. The bodice is lined with the main fabric.

Kasia is a close-fitting evening gown with a waist seam and grown-on shoulder straps. It features a deep V-neckline finished with a sheer mesh insert at the front and a deep neckline reaching the waistline at the back. The bias-cut skirt features waist darts at the back and flares towards the bottom. The dress is fully lined and fastens with an invisible zipper in the center back seam of the skirt. Kasia is floor-length at the front with a long train at the back.
Approximate sewing time — 3 days (24 hours).
Recommended materials:
For the overlay of the dress, choose embellished fabrics with the following properties:
- flexible, soft, with a mesh structure, embellished with beads, sequins, seed beads, or covered with glitter
- the fiber content can include synthetics (polyester)
For the main layer of the dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, soft, fluid, pliable, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (silk + polyester, silk + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
For the front bodice insert, choose mesh fabric in the nude color, with the following properties:
- flexible, soft, sheer, structured, non-stretch or with very little stretch
The following fabrics are recommended:
For the overlay: embellished/beaded mesh.
For the main layer: satin, crepe, sateen, silk.
For the front bodice insert: corsetry mesh in the nude color.
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (silk + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The dress in the photo is made of satin, mesh embellished with sequins, beads, and seed beads, and corsetry mesh in the nude color. The fiber content of the lining fabric is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 89 g/m2. The overlay fabric is flexible, soft, and with very little stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 40–50 g/m2. The fiber content of the main layer fabric is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 190–220 g/m2. The fiber content of the insert fabric is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 50 g/m2.
We recommend using fabrics with similar fiber content for this dress.
Before cutting out the garment pieces from the main fabrics, we recommend making a toile. To sew a toile, choose fabrics that have similar properties to those of the main fabric 2 (main layer) and main fabric 3 (front bodice insert). To accelerate the toile-making process, cut the short versions of the skirt pieces (below-knee length) and make the bodice out of calico.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy fabrics (knits), mesh with vivid directional print/vivid large print, sheer fabrics (chiffon, stretch lace). Heavyweight, structured, crisp cotton fabrics (cotton eyelet fabric, cotton macramé lace with a directional pattern) are also not recommended. For the lining, we do not recommend structured, crisp cotton fabrics or stretchy fabrics (knits).

Marcella is a wedding dress with a close-fitting bodice and a voluminous skirt. The dress features a waist seam that sits at the natural waistline. The bodice of the dress is fully lined, while the skirt features a free-hanging lining. The fit of the corset-style bodice is achieved with princess seams. All the vertical seams on the bodice and its lining are stiffened with rigilene boning. Both at the front and back, there is a draped detail that transitions into the fancy sleeves. To ensure puffiness, there is an elasticated casing on the inner side of each sleeve. The bodice fastens with corset loops and lacing at the center back. There is a modesty placket under the lacing. The skirt of the dress is bias-cut, it flares towards the bottom and is made up of two layers. The top circle layer features soft pleats at the waistline. The bottom A-line layer is more fitted. The bottom edges of both skirt layers are finished with horsehair ribbon to give them structure. The skirt lining fastens with an invisible zipper in the center back seam, while the skirt itself features a slit at the zipper area. Marcella is above-knee length.
Recommended fabric:
As the 1st (outer) layer of this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- structured, non-stretch, medium weight, thin, opaque or semi-sheer
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (silk + polyester, silk + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)
- the following fabrics are recommended: organza, brocade, taffeta
As the 2nd layer of the bodice, choose medium- to heavyweight, non-stretch, opaque fabrics.
The following fabrics are recommended: satin, satin coutil or matte satin (Peau de Soie).
The lining fabric should also be structured and non-stretch, with a weight of 60–100 g/m2.
You may choose natural or artificial silk that is lightweight, crisp and non-stretch, or viscose. The main fabric for the 2nd layer is also a great option for the lining.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy, heavyweight, fluid fabrics, such as silk with elastane, stretch lace or cotton.
The dress in the photo is made of organza. The fabric is medium weight, thin, structured, non-stretch, semi-sheer and sleek. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 100–120 g/m2. As the main fabric for the 2nd layer and lining of the bodice and skirt, we used satin, 200 g/m2, 100% polyester.

Isabelle is an evening gown with an accentuated waist due to the waist seam. The corset bodice of the dress is close-fitting. The front and back of the bodice are shaped with princess seams featuring rigilene boning inserted into applied channels. There are rouleau loops at the center back for the lacing. The dress fastens with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The fabric-covered bra cups are sewn to the bodice, and the ruching over the bust area is secured at the center front and the side seams. The low V-neckline is finished with mesh in the nude color. The fancy sleeves are voluminous and feature draping. The waist seam features a decorative waistband. The full skirt is layered and flares out towards the bottom. The yoke and the outer skirt layer are gathered tightly. The skirt of the dress is finished with a free-hanging lining. Isabelle is floor length.
Approximate sewing time — 3 days (24 hours).
Recommended materials:
To sew this dress, you will need several types of fabric, each layer being made of different fabric type.
For the 1st layer, choose soft and smooth tulle.
For the 2nd layer of the bodice, choose corsetry mesh which is non-stretch and has a fabric weight of about 45 g/m2.
For the channels and rouleau loops, choose dress-weight fabrics that are medium weight, pliable, soft, non- or low-stretch, opaque. The fiber content can include natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (cotton + silk, silk + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane). For example, you can use satin which is 100% polyester and has a fabric weight of 160–190 g/m2. The fabric should be soft, fluid, opaque, and with a beautiful distinctive sheen.
Attention! We do not recommend fabrics with the following properties:
- stretchy knit fabrics and crisp, structured fabrics (organza, cotton).
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (cotton + silk, silk + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane). For example, you can use artificial silk that is similar in properties to the natural one.
The dress in the photo is made of tulle. The fabric is lightweight, pliable, soft, and sheer. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 30 g/m2. One layer of corsetry mesh on the bodice serves as the lining. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, soft, non-stretch, sheer. The fabric weight is 40 g/m2.
The free-hanging lining of the skirt is made of artificial silk. The fabric is lightweight, soft, and pliable. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 160 g/m2.
The dress is sewn with pre-made bra cups. The outer layer is made of knit fabric, 100% polyester.
The channels and rouleau loops are made of silk satin. The fabric is medium weight, soft, and non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 190 g/m2.

Josephine is a close-fitting, lined evening dress with an accentuated waist. It has a waist seam and a corset-style bodice shaped with princess seams. All the bodice seams are reinforced with boning. The dress has a low sweetheart neckline decorated with a draped, pleated overlay. The two parts of the overlay crisscross at the bust and extend to the back. The set-in sleeves are long and voluminous. They are gathered at the sleeve cap and hem and finished with bias binding. There are waist darts on the back skirt and a center back seam with an invisible zipper. The skirt is bias-cut and flares toward the bottom. The dress is floor-length at the front with a long train at the back.
Approximate sewing time – 3.5 days (28 hours).
Recommended materials:
To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- light to medium weight, pliable, soft, non-stretch or low-stretch, opaque
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk, cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + silk, viscose + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
- the following fabrics are recommended: natural silk, artificial silk, crepe back satin, satin.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit materials or structured fabrics (organza).
We recommend using the same fabric for the lining as for the skirt. This is very important for bias-cut garments. Even the slightest difference in the properties of the outer fabric and lining can cause distortion in the final garment.
As an additional fabric for the overlay, we recommend using lightweight, sheer, stretchy materials, such as tulle.
The dress in the photos is made of artificial silk. The fabric is medium-weight, pliable, soft, with a little stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 170 g/m2.
The lining is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 170 g/m2.
The additional material for the overlay is 100% polyester tulle. The fabric weight is 30 g/m2.
The interfacing weight is 60 g/m2.

Mirabella is a lined dress with a close-fitting bodice and a voluminous skirt. It features a waist seam that sits above the natural waistline and a deep square neckline. The draped bodice is fitted with bust and waist darts transferred to the princess seams. The dress closes with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The fully lined balloon skirt is gathered along the hemline and structured with additional stiff net lining. The long, set-in sleeves consist of two pieces. The top puff piece is gathered at the cap and bottom while the close-fitting bottom piece is straight and features a vertical dart and a faux closure with buttons and rouleau loops. Mirabella is above-knee length.
Approximate sewing time — 2.5 days (20 hours).

Rosanna is a close-fitting evening gown. This lingerie-inspired corset dress features bust cups and adjustable spaghetti straps. The front and back are shaped with princess and center seams. All bodice seams are reinforced with rigilene boning. The dress is made of two fabric types. The outer layer is made of tulle and is ruched along all the edges, while the inner double layer is made of mesh. An asymmetric, free-hanging, ruched overlay is attached along the side seam. The dress is lined with mesh and closes with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. Rosanna is above-knee length.
Approximate sewing time — 2.5 days (20 hours).
Recommended materials:
To sew this dress, choose knit fabrics with the following properties:
- medium-weight, pliable, soft, stretchy, sheer
- the fiber content can include artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + polyester, etc.), and synthetics (nylon, polyester, polyester + elastane)
- the following fabrics are recommended: tulle, stretch mesh.
Attention! We do not recommend lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza) and non-stretch fabrics.
For the inner layer and lining, we recommend using medium-weight, soft, pliable mesh with small holes. Choose fabrics made of synthetic fibers (polyester + elastane).

Recommended materials:
To sew this top, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque, structured
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (cotton + silk, viscose + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)
- we recommend using the following fabrics: taffeta, heavyweight structured satin.
Attention! We do not recommend fluid fabrics (silk) and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, stretch lace).
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
