Elegant Silhouette with an Edgy Twist

I had to sew this gorgeous dress without a fitting as my 'client' was absent. I am astounded how well it suited her body just by using the measurment guide. I learnt so many sewing skills creating this dress. I felt like I was producing couture. I followed all the instructions faithfully (even cutting my interfacing on the bias as required) and the results as so pleasing. The only problem I had was my zipper was a little lumpy BUT my fabric choice, a fine silk/cotton was possibly too light for this garment. I look forward to repeatimg this sew, in a light weight wool, for another daughter.
