Girlish Elegance

I've made 2 wearable versions of this dress-- one in a cotton lawn, and another in a poly satin. I found that straps have a tendency to twist on themselves in the cotton lawn (my first wearable after the mock-up). On the satin version, I added a fusible stay tape to the seam I used Dritz Fray Check along the seam edges to add extra stability and protection against fraying. The straps have the perfect amont of body now, so I would recommend doing this if you are using a lightweight fabric that may twist upon itself. My measurements are (imperial) 33.5/26-27/36, (metric) 85/66-68.5/91.5 I chose size 38 in height 3 (5'8", 172cm). Sizing was true to size. Instructions were intuitive. I liked how the bodice lining method incorporated the skirt without needing to stitch in the ditch; I will be using this method frequently.
