most of the work is marking the pleats. there are only two side seams, the waistband and zipper for sewing. i recommend hand basting the pleats and as well as the waistband and belt loops for accurate placement. the instructions are easy to follow with photos. the instructions tell you to install the invisible zipper with the seam open and i did that. it worked fine but yuy could probably do any method you are familiar with
