Elegant dress

I made this dress in a black stretch velvet for an evening function. It was wonderful to wear and was elegantly simple. The make went smoothly, the darts were an a-typical construction, but kind of cool to make. I had to make the sleeves a little larger to fit and even though they are a three piece sleeve, it was still manageable and turned out well. And I love that Viki Sews patterns come in different lenghts, I loved not having to adjust the hemline.
