Tabitha Docker Cap
Tabitha is a lined docker cap with an upturned brim. The double-layer brim has clean-finished back edges. The cap fastens at the back with a buttoned tab and features topstitching along the panel seams.
Approximate sewing time – 1 day (5 hours).
To sew this cap, choose medium-weight, soft, non-stretch, opaque fabrics made of natural fibers, artificial fibers, blends, or synthetics.
Recommended fabrics: corduroy, denim, poplin, sateen.
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), natural fibers (cotton), or blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester).
The cap in the photos is made of denim. The fabric is medium weight, soft, and without stretch. The fiber content is 100% cotton. The fabric weight is 250 g/m2.
The lining is 100% cotton batiste. The lining fabric weight is 75 g/m2.

2. Lining fabric, 140 cm (55") wide, 60–80 g/m2, for all sizes – 0.45 m (1/2 yd).
IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.
3. Lightweight interfacing, knit or woven, 140 cm (55") wide, 30 g/m2, for all sizes – 0.45 m (1/2 yd).
4. Two buttons, 0.7–1 cm (1/4–3/8") in diameter.
5. Matching thread – 1 spool for the sewing machine.
