Fergie jacket
Fergie is a loose-fitting lined jacket with a straight silhouette. The fronts feature pockets set into the darts, and the left front has a welt pocket with a shaped welt. The shoulder line is extended and shaped with shoulder pads. The jacket has a stand collar. The sleeves are loose-fitting and made up of two pieces; the bottom edges are finished with vents closing with buttons. The jacket has an off-center button and buttonhole closure. Fergie is above-hip length.
Model Isabel: Height 170 cm (5′7″), Bust 85 cm (33 1/2”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 92 cm (36 1/4”). Isabel is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time: 2 days (16 hours).
To sew this jacket, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties: medium-weight, pliable, structured, non-stretch or low-stretch. The fiber content can include natural fibers (wool), artificial fibers (viscose), blended fibers (wool + silk, wool + polyester, etc.), or synthetic fibers (polyester).
The following fabrics are recommended: suiting, coating fabric, denim, tapestry, corduroy, and melton wool.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics, soft and lightweight fabrics (dress-weight wool), or suiting fabrics with a loose structure.
For the lining, we recommend using lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blended fibers (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetic fibers (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The blazer in the photo is made of wool coating. The fabric is medium weight, soft, non-stretch, and structured. The fiber content is 100% wool. The fabric weight is 450 g/m².
The collar is made of wool felt. The fiber content is 100% wool. The fabric weight is 140 g/m².
The lining is made of 55% viscose + 45% polyester. The lining fabric weight is 95 g/m².
