Jackie jacket
Jackie is a semi-fitted, fully lined jacket with a straight silhouette. The bust darts on the front are transferred to the side seams. The front features topstitched decorative flaps held in place with the sewn-on buttons. The long, set-in, two-piece sleeves have faux button vents in the elbow seams. The jacket features a stand collar and fastens with buttons and buttonholes at the center front. Jackie is above-the-hip length.
Approximate sewing time – 3 days (24 hours).
Model Vlada: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 83 cm (32 5/8”), Waist 60 cm (23 5/8”), Hips 88 cm (34 5/8”). Vlada is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Model Ulyana: Height 176 cm (5’9”), Bust 83 cm (32 5/8”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Ulyana is wearing size 36 in height 3.
To sew this jacket, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, pliable, structured, non-stretch or low-stretch
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)
- the following fabrics are recommended: tweed, suiting, gabardine.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy fabrics (knits), lightweight soft fabrics (dress-weight wool), or heavyweight wool fabrics.
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The jacket in the photo is made of tweed. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, soft, structured and non-stretch. The fiber content is a blend of wool, polyester, and viscose. The fabric weight is 450 g/m2.
The lining is 100% viscose. The fabric weight is 50 g/m2.
