Vilasa jacket
Vilasa is a close-fitting lined jacket with an accentuated waist and a waist seam. The top part is fitted with princess seams on the front and back, and the bottom part features inverted pleats. The neckline is round and features no collar. The jacket closes at the center front with sew-on snaps. The long set-in sleeves are made up of three pieces and shaped, voluminous at the shoulder and tapering towards the wrist. Vilasa is hip-length.
Model Sulami: Height 173 cm (5′8″), Bust 85 cm (33 1/2”), Waist 58 cm (22 7/8”), Hips 88 cm (34 5/8”). Sulami is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time: 2 days (16 hours).
To sew this jacket, choose medium-weight, soft, non-stretch coating fabrics made of natural, artificial, blended, or synthetic fibers.
The following fabrics are recommended: faux fur with knit or woven backing, napped coating fabrics, and bouclé.
For the lining, we recommend using lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blended fibers (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetic fibers (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The jacket in the photo is made of faux fur with knit backing. The fabric is medium-weight, soft, and non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 450 g/m².
The lining is made of 55% viscose + 45% polyester. The lining fabric weight is 100 g/m².
