Asel is a semi-fitted dress with an accentuated waist. The front and back of the dress are lined. The front features bust darts transferred to the side seam, and double waist darts. On the back, there are double waist darts and shoulder darts transferred to the neckline. The center back seam has an invisible zipper fastening on the top and a slit on the bottom. The long sleeve has two seams, the front seam ending with a slit. The shoulder line is slightly increased and widened to accommodate shoulder pads. The neckline is round. Asel is below the knee length.

Approximate sewing time: 2 days.

Model Larisa: Bust 85cm, Waist 64cm, Hips 93cm, height 172cm. Larisa is wearing size 36 in height 3.

To sew this dress, choose dress-weight woven fabrics with the following properties:

- Medium weight, flexible, breathable, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque;

- The fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool+ polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetic (polyester, polyester + elastane);

- The following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight wool or viscose, gabardine, dress-weight denim, dress-weight micro corduroy, modal, faux leather.

Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit materials and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).

For the lining, we recommend artificial fibers (viscose), blended (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester) or synthetic (polyester, polyester + elastane).

The dress in the photo is made of dress-weight wool. This fabric is medium weight, flexible, soft and with very little stretch. The fiber content is a blend of wool and elastane. The lining is viscose with elastane.

IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.

3. Lightweight fusible knit or woven interfacing, 140cm wide, for all sizes in all heights - 60cm.

4. One 50cm long invisible zipper for all sizes and heights.

5. Shoulder pads, 1 pair.

6. Matching thread, 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine and 4 spools for the overlocker).

- Sewing machine for construction;

- Overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2-3mm, stitch length 2.5mm);

- Stitch-in-the-ditch foot for your sewing machine (optional);

- Invisible zipper foot for your sewing machine.
