Athena is a close-fitting, fully lined dress with a waist seam and adjustable, detachable straps. The corset-style bodice features princess seams and bust cups supported with underwires. The princess seams on the front and back are reinforced with rigilene boning. The front bodice features an asymmetric, ruched overlay. The wrap-style front skirt is made up of two asymmetric pieces. The left front skirt is ruched at the hips. The dress features off-the-shoulder, airy, draped sleeves and fastens with a hook-and-eye closure and an invisible zipper in the center back seam. Athena is floor length. The dress comes with a detachable full skirt that is gathered at the waist and features a train. The skirt has a waistband and fastens with a hook-and-eye closure.

Approximate sewing time — 4 days (32 hours).

Model Sofia: Height 171 cm (5'7"), Bust 81 cm (31 7/8"), Waist 60 cm (23 5/8"), Hips 88 cm (34 5/8"). Sofia is wearing size 34 in height 3.

To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:

− medium weight, pliable, soft, non-stretch

− the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (silk + polyester, silk + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)

− the following fabrics are recommended: glitter mesh, corset mesh.

Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knits, stretch mesh, and stretch lace fabrics.

As the main fabric, we recommend using medium weight, soft, low-stretch or non-stretch glitter mesh. For the corset, use medium weight, soft, non-stretch corset mesh. Choose fabrics made of synthetic fibers (polyester).

For the cups, we recommend using 3–4 mm (1/8") thick bra foam. The foam is double-faced. The fiber content is polyester + cotton.

For the lining, use taffeta. The fiber content can include polyester or blends (polyester + viscose, polyester + silk, silk + viscose).

The dress in the photo is made of glitter mesh. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, non-stretch, semi-sheer. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The cups are made of 3 mm (1/8") thick bra foam. The outer side of the foam is covered with 100% polyester knit fabric, while the inner side is finished with 100% cotton jersey knit.

The lining fabric is medium weight, structured taffeta. The fiber content is a blend of polyester and viscose.
