Baela is a close-fitting dress with a waist seam. The wrap-style front bodice is gathered at the waist and features pleats at the shoulder seams. The back bodice is shaped with waist and shoulder darts. The wrap front skirt is asymmetrical and gathered at the side seam. The back skirt features waist darts. The neckline is V-shaped and low. The long set-in sleeves are puffy at the top and tapered towards the bottom. The sleeve cap is gathered and shaped with a tulle sleeve head, while the shoulders are supported with shoulder pads. The dress closes with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The dress hem is asymmetrical. Baela is above-ankle length.

Model Christina: Height 173 cm (5’8”), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 61 cm (24”), Hips 89 cm (35”). Christina is wearing size 36 in height 3.

To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties: medium weight, non-stretch or low-stretch. The fiber content can include natural fibers, artificial fibers, blends, or synthetics.

The following fabrics are recommended: satin, dress-weight viscose, sateen, natural or artificial silk.

Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).

The dress in the photo is made of dress-weight fabric. The fabric is medium weight and non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 200 g/m2.

7. Matching thread — 4 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 3 spools for the overlocker)
