Cassie dress
Cassie is a dress with an accentuated waist. The bodice is close-fitting and has princess seams stiffened with rigilene boning. The cups are gathered at the bottom, transition into ties, and create a deep V-neckline at the front. The back is open. The skirt has an A-line shape. The dress has a free-hanging lining and closes with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. Cassie is below-knee length.
Model Anna: Height 172 cm (5′6″), Bust 88 cm (34 5/8”), Waist 62 cm (24”), Hips 91 cm (35 7/8”). Anna is wearing size 36 in height 3.

To sew this dress, choose medium-weight, pliable, non-stretch or low-stretch, opaque dress-weight fabrics made of natural, artificial, blended, or synthetic fibers.
The following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight viscose, modal, natural or artificial silk, chiffon.
The dress in the photo is made of dress-weight viscose. The fabric is medium-weight, pliable, and soft. The fiber content is 100% viscose. The fabric weight is 170 g/m².
The lining is made of viscose. The fiber content is 95% viscose + 5% elastane. The fabric weight is 100 g/m2.

IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.
3. Lightweight interfacing, knit or woven, 140 cm (55") wide, for all sizes in all heights — 0.4 m (3/8 yd).
4. Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement, 1.5 cm (5/8") wide — 2.63 m (2 7/8 yd).
5. One invisible zipper, 60 cm (24") long, for all sizes and heights.
6. Silicone gripper elastic, 1 cm (3/8") wide — 35–50 cm (13 3/4–19 5/8”), depending on size.
7. Rigilene boning, 1 cm (3/8") wide, for all sizes in all heights — 1.22 m (1 3/8 yd).
8. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker).

− overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
