Charlene is a semi-fitted dress with a waist seam that sits at the natural waistline at the back and slightly above the waist at the front. The back features a center seam and waist darts. There is an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The neckline is V-shaped. The front bodice features bust darts, a decorative cutout under the bust, and ties at the center seam. The skirt is cut on the bias. The set-in sleeves are long and close-fitting. Charlene is ankle-length.

Model Liza: Height 175 cm (5’9”), Bust 83 cm (32 5/8”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Liza is wearing size 36 in height 3.

To sew this dress, choose medium-weight, soft, non-stretch or low-stretch dress-weight fabrics made of natural, artificial, synthetic fibers, or blends.

The following fabrics are recommended: satin, dress-weight viscose, stretch crepe, crepe de chine, natural or artificial silk.

Important! We do not recommend very stretchy and sheer fabrics.

The dress in the photo is made of dress-weight crepe. The fabric is medium weight, soft, and low-stretch. The fiber content is 100% silk. The fabric weight is 210 g/m2.

2. Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement, 1.5 cm (5/8") wide — 2.3–2.8 m (2 1/2–3 yd)

3. One invisible zipper, 55–62 cm (21 5/8–24 3/8") long, depending on the chosen height

4. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)
