Eleonora dress
Eleonora is a loose-fitting dress with a straight silhouette featuring a triple-stitch decorative topstitching. The front bust darts have been transferred to the shoulder seams. The dress has a classic notched collar with a collar stand. The back features a yoke and a decorative button tab, while the front features flapped patch pockets with a pleat. Short dolman sleeves are finished with cuffs embellished with button epaulets. The detachable belt with a buckle is attached to the dress with belt loops in the side seams. The dress fastens with buttons and buttonholes at the center front. Eleonora is above the ankle length.
Model Sofia: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Sofia is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Model Yana: Height 174 cm (5’8”), Bust 107 cm (42 1/8”), Waist 87 cm (34 1/4”), Hips 122 cm (48”). For Yana we combined sizes 48 for the top and 52 for the bottom in height 3.
Approximate sewing time – 2 days (16 hours).
To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, drapey, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (cotton, linen), artificial fibers (viscose, tencel), blends (cotton + viscose, linen + viscose etc.)
- the following fabrics are recommended: cotton gabardine, denim, linen, satin
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).
The dress in the photo is made of medium-weight cotton. This fabric is medium-weight, structured, non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% cotton.

4. Nine buttons 2-2.2 cm (3/4−7/8") in diameter
5. One buckle, 5 cm (2") in diameter
6. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)

- overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
- buttonhole foot for the sewing machine
- stitch-in-the-ditch foot for the sewing machine (optional)
- one-sided foot for the sewing machine to attach the buckle
