To sew this dress, choose soft, stretchy, pliable medium–weight knit fabrics made of natural, artificial, blended, or synthetic fibers.
The following fabrics are recommended: double jersey, single jersey, and knit fabrics with a stretch factor of at least 1.5.
Attention! We recommend using only stretchy fabrics for sewing this garment.
You can determine the stretch factor of your fabric yourself. Mark 10 cm (4") along the crosswise grain of the fabric, lay a ruler next to the marked section, and stretch the fabric. Divide the measurement you get by 10.
The dress in the photo is made of knit fabric. The fabric is medium-weight, soft, pliable, and stretchy. The fiber content is 60% viscose + 30% polyester + 10% elastane. The fabric weight is 180 g/m². The stretch factor of the knit fabric is 1.5.

3. Elastic, 1 cm (3/8") wide — 51–82 cm (20 1/8–32 1/4"), depending on the size. Length including seam allowances is specified on the pattern
4. One plastic buckle with an inner diameter of 3–3.5 cm (1 1/8–1 3/8")
5. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker).
− sewing machine for construction
− overlocker for stitching and finishing seam allowances. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on a regular sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
− coverstitch or coverlock machine for finishing the garment hem. If you don’t have a coverstitch machine, the hem can be finished with a twin needle on a regular sewing machine with a zigzag function
IMPORTANT! We recommend using specialty needles when working with knit fabrics (for example, STRETCH, SUPER STRETCH, JERSEY, etc.). These have a ballpoint needle tip that parts the loops of the knit fabric when sewing and does not pierce the threads.
