Francesca is an A-line dress with a close-fitting bodice, a full skirt, and an empire waist seam at the front. The fully-lined bodice features horizontal draping and wide tie straps, and fastens with a hook and eye tape in the center back seam. The top edge of the skirt is pleated evenly all around. The skirt closes with an invisible zipper in the center back seam, features side seam pockets and a horizontal design line below the knees. Francesca is midi length.
Model Alina: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 86 cm (33 7/8”), Waist 65 cm (25 5/8”), Hips 93 cm (36 5/8”). Alina is wearing size 36 in height 3.

To sew this dress, choose shirting and dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- lightweight, structured, non-stretch or with very little stretch
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (cotton, linen), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (linen + silk, cotton + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
- the following fabrics are recommended: heavyweight shirting (opaque), dress-weight denim, linen
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics and fluid fabrics (chiffon, stretch lace, satin).
The garment in the photo is made of linen. The fabric is medium weight, malleable, smooth and with very little stretch. The fiber content is 100% linen.
