Melina is a semi-fitted dress with an accentuated waist and drop shoulders. The front and back feature center seams and waist darts. The front has side pieces with voluminous pockets. The round neckline transitions into a slit at the front. The center back seam features an invisible zipper and ends with a slit. The neck and armscye facings are secured with topstitching. Melina is below-knee length.

Model Alina: Height 170 cm (5′6″), Bust 82 cm (32 1/4”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 89 cm (35”). Alina is wearing size 36 in height 3.

Approximate sewing time – 2 days (16 hours).

To sew this dress, choose soft, non-stretch or low-stretch, medium-weight dress-weight and suiting fabrics made of natural, artificial, blended, or synthetic fibers.

The following fabrics are recommended: crepe suiting, gabardine, and polyviscose suiting.

Attention! We do not recommend using stretchy or sheer fabrics!

The dress in the photo is made of suiting fabric. The fabric is medium weight, soft, and non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% wool. The fabric weight is 210 g/m².

4. One invisible zipper, 75–85 cm (30–34") long, for all sizes and heights 

5. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)

− sewing machine for construction 

− overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on a regular sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm) 

− stitch-in-the-ditch foot for the sewing machine (optional) 

− invisible zipper foot for the sewing machine 

− one-sided foot for attaching the zipper
