Odette is a semi-fitted, straight-cut dress, slightly flared at the bottom. It features a detachable belt that closes with a buckle. There are bust darts at the front and shoulder darts at the back. The dress has a center back seam that ends in a hemline slit. The set-in sleeves are long and semi-fitted. The neckline is round and closes with a button and loop at the back. The dress is below mid-calf length.

Approximate sewing time - 1 day.

Model Sofia: Height 172, Bust 84, Waist 64, Hips 90. Sofia is wearing size 36 in height 3. 

Model Yana: Height 174, Bust 108, Waist 90, Hips 128. Yana is wearing size 48 in height 3.

To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:

- medium-weight, pliable, breathable, soft, non-stretch or low-stretch;

- the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane);

- the following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight wool, crepe, dress-weight viscose, silk, artificial silk, satin, silk velvet.

Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit materials (jersey fabrics), heavyweight fabrics (suiting, denim), or lightweight sheer fabrics (organza, chiffon).

The dress in the photos is made from artificial silk. The fabric is medium-weight, pliable, soft, without stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester.

IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.

3. Stitch-reinforced fusible bias tape - 1m (1 1/8 yd).

4. One button, 0,7–1cm (1/4–3/8”) in diameter.

5. One pair of shoulder pads, 1cm (3/8”) thick.

6. Matching thread - 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker).

7. One buckle, 5cm (2”) inner width, or two D-rings.

- sewing machine for construction;

- overlocker for finishing seam allowances. It can be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2-3mm, stitch length 2.5mm).
