Rosaria is a close-fitting dress with an accentuated waist. It features a waist seam and a round neckline. The front bodice is fitted with bust darts transferred to the side seams, as well as with waist darts. The back bodice is fitted with shoulder and waist darts. The dress fastens with buttons and buttonholes at the center front down to the waistline, and with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The skirt features a double-flounce hem, a vertical flounce in the center front seam, and a flounce around the waist. The long and voluminous sleeves have elasticated hems. Rosaria is above-knee length.
Model Alina: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 86 cm (33 7/8”), Waist 65 cm (25 5/8”), Hips 93 cm (36 5/8”). Alina is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time — 2 days (20 hours).
To sew this dress, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, easily pressed and steamed, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk, cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (silk + viscose, silk + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
- the following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight viscose, sateen, poplin, cotton shirting
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).
The dress in the photo is made of textured cotton. The fabric is medium weight, soft, structured, and has very little stretch.
The fiber content is 100% cotton.
When choosing your fabric, make sure its wrong and right sides are practically the same colour since both of them will be seen because of the center flounce fluttering.
