Siana is a close-fitting sheath dress with a wide, moderately low-cut, square neckline at the front and back. The neckline has a V-shaped cutout at the center front. The shoulder line is shortened. The mid-palm long, fitted, set-in sleeve is slightly flared at the bottom. Siana is a midi-length dress.

Model Anya: Height 169cm (5’6”), Bust 84cm (33 1/8”), Waist 64 (25 1/4”), Hips 91 (35 7/8”). Anya is wearing size 36 in height 2.

To sew this dress, choose knit fabrics with the following properties:

- Medium weight, with good drape, breathable, soft, stretchy, opaque;

- The fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, cotton), artificial (viscose), blends (wool + elastane, wool + polyester + elastane, cotton + viscose + elastane, etc.), and synthetics (polyester + elastane);

- The following fabrics are recommended: sweater knit and knit fabrics, double-knit fabrics, rib knit fabrics.

Attention! We do not recommend using suiting fabrics, non-stretch fabrics and lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).

The dress in the photo is made of dress-weight knit fabric. This fabric is medium weight, with good drape, soft and stretchy. The fiber content is a blend of cotton, viscose and elastane.

IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.

4. Matching thread, 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine and 4 spools for the overlocker).

5. A 10x10cm (4x4”) piece of hard plastic.

- Sewing machine for construction;

- Overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3mm, stitch length 2.5mm);

- Coverstitch / coverlock machine for finishing the garment hem. If such a machine is not available, the garment hem can be finished with a twin needle on a regular sewing machine with a zigzag function;

- Ballpoint needles for knits.

Important! For knit projects, we recommend using special sewing needles for stretchy knit fabrics (e.g. STRETCH, SUPER STRETCH, JERSEY, etc.). When sewing, a ball-shaped needle point pushes the knit loops apart without piercing the threads.
