Tiffany Dress
Tiffany is a semi-fitted bias-cut dress with an accentuated waist. The front features bust darts that have been transferred to the armscye, and the back has waist darts. The rounded neckline is finished with a facing and features a slit opening at the back that closes with a loop and button. Tiffany has a long set-in sleeve and a separate belt with a buckle and belt loop. Tiffany is midi length.
Model Sofia: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Sofia is wearing size 36 in height 3.
To sew this dress, choose woven fabrics with the following properties:
- Medium weight, soft, presses well, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque;
- The fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk), artificial, blends (wool + polyester, wool + elastane, silk + polyester, silk + elastane, etc.), and synthetic (polyester, polyester + elastane);
- The following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight wool, natural and artificial silk, viscose poplin, crepe, atlas.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit materials or lightweight fabrics.
The dress in the photo is made of crepe fabric. This fabric is medium weight, soft and has very little stretch. The fiber content is a blend of silk, polyester and elastane.

3. One 5-7mm (1/4”) button.
4. One 5cm (2”) wide belt buckle.
5. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine and 4 spools for the overlocker).
- Sewing machine for construction;
- Overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2-3mm, stitch length 2.5mm);
- Stitch-in-the-ditch foot for your sewing machine (optional).
