Laura long sleeve top
Laura is a close-fitting long sleeve top. It features long set-in sleeves and an asymmetrical neckline finished with binding. The long sleeve top is hip-length.
Model Sofia: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Sofia is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Model Yana: Height 174 cm (5’8”), Bust 104 cm (41”), Waist 86 cm (33 7/8”), Hips 120 cm (47 1/4”). Yana is wearing size 46.
To sew this top, choose knit fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, soft, breathable, stretchy
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + elastane, cotton + elastane, viscose + elastane), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
- the following fabrics are recommended: lightweight stretchy sweater knits, ribbed knits, jersey knits, interlock knits, spandex, knit mesh fabric
Attention! We do not recommend lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).
IMPORTANT! When choosing your fabric, make sure it's very stretchy. Check the knit fabric stretch before purchasing. To do this, stretch the knit fabric crosswise and determine its stretch factor. It should be no less than 2. In other words, a 10 cm (3 7/8") section measured from the selvedge should stretch up to 20 cm (7 7/8") and more as shown in the photos.
The top in the photo is made of lightweight sweater knit. The fabric is soft and stretchy. The fiber content is a blend of viscose and elastane. The stretch factor is 2.

IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.
2. Lightweight knit interfacing, with any width, for all sizes in all heights — 0.15 m (1/8 yd)
3. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)
- sewing machine for construction
- overlocker for construction and finishing raw edges. It can be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
- coverstitch or coverlock machine for finishing the garment hem. If you don’t have a coverstitch machine, it can be replaced with a twin needle on any regular sewing machine that can do a zigzag stitch
Important! We recommend using specialty needles when working with knit fabrics (for example, STRETCH, SUPER STRETCH, JERSEY, etc.). When sewing, a ball-shaped needle point pushes the knit loops apart without piercing the threads.
