Bailey is a semi-fitted jumpsuit with a straight silhouette. The front features zipper pockets at the top and bottom, while the back has a yoke and center seam. The jumpsuit has an elasticated casing at the waist, a stand collar, and a front zipper fastening. The set-in sleeves are long, made up of two pieces, and gathered at the bottom with elastics. Bailey is below-ankle length.

Model Sofia: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Sofia is wearing size 36 in height 3.

Approximate sewing time — 1 day (8 hours).

To sew this jumpsuit, choose knit fabrics with the following properties:

- non-stretch or with very little stretch, medium weight

- the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + polyester, cotton + polyester, cotton + elastane, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)

- the following fabrics are recommended: thick French terry and lighter weight sweatshirting

Attention! We do not recommend using knit fabrics with a lot of stretch.

The jumpsuit in the photo is made of thick French terry. The fabric is heavyweight and has very little stretch. The fiber content is 80% cotton and 20% polyester. The fabric weight is 320 g/m2.

The pocket lining is made of jersey. The fiber content is 92% cotton and 8% spandex. The fabric weight is 210 g/m2. The stretch factor of the jersey is 1.2.

You can determine the stretch factor of the fabric yourself. Mark 10 cm (4") along the crosswise grain of the fabric, lay a ruler next to the marked section and stretch the fabric. Divide the measurement you get by 10.

9. Five bottom zipper stoppers for adjusting the lengths of the closed-bottom zippers

10. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker/coverstitch machine)

- sewing machine for construction

-  one-sided foot for the sewing machine

- overlocker for construction and finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)

- coverstitch or coverlock machine for finishing the garment hem. If you don’t have a coverstitch machine, it can be replaced with a twin needle on any regular sewing machine that can do a zigzag stitch

Important! We recommend using specialty needles when working with knit fabrics (for example, STRETCH, SUPER STRETCH, JERSEY, etc.). When sewing, a ball-shaped needle point pushes the knit loops apart without piercing the threads.
