Greg tank top
Greg is a semi-fitted tank top. The shoulder seams have been transferred into the yoke seams. The round neckline is finished with a neckband. The armscye and hem are stitched on a coverstitch machine. Greg is hip-length.

To sew this tank top, choose soft and medium-stretch knit fabrics made of natural, artificial, blended, and synthetic fibers.
The following fabrics are recommended: lightweight jersey, single jersey, spandex, ribbed knits, and knits.
Attention! We recommend using only stretchy fabrics.
The tank top in the photo is made of jersey. The fabric is soft and medium-stretch. The fiber content is 60% viscose, 31% nylon, and 9% elastane. The fabric weight is 230 g/m².

IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.
2. Matching thread — 4 spools (4 spools for the overlocker / 3 spools for the coverstitch machine), (+ 3 spools of contrasting thread for the coverstitch machine if sewing with contrasting fabrics)
− overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on a regular sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
− coverstitch or coverlock machine for finishing the garment hem. If you don’t have a coverstitch machine, the hem can be finished with a twin needle on a regular sewing machine with a zigzag function
− needle with a large eye or a latch hook for picking up loops
IMPORTANT! We recommend using specialty needles when working with knit fabrics (for example, STRETCH, SUPER STRETCH, JERSEY, etc.). These have a ballpoint needle tip, which parts the loops of the knit fabric when sewing without piercing the threads.
