Stanley is a pair of semi-fitted, straight-cut pants with an elasticated waistband. The front features slash pockets. The waistband is decorated with two rows of topstitching that form a casing with a cord threaded through it. The upper edge of the waistband sits at the natural waistline. The bottom edges of the pants are finished with a double-fold hem. Stanley is below-ankle length.

Model Dmitri: Height 187 cm (6'2"), Chest 108 cm (42 1/2"), Waist 80 cm (31 1/2"), Hips 95 cm (37 3/8"). Pavel is wearing size 38 in height 3.

Approximate sewing time — 1 day (8 hours).

To sew these pants, choose soft, opaque, medium weight, low-wrinkle, non-stretch shirting fabrics. 

The fiber content can include natural fibers (silk, cotton, linen), artificial fibers (viscose), blended fibers (cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetic fibers (polyester). 

The following fabrics are recommended: sateen, shirting fabric, flannel, cotton. 

The pants in the photo are made of 100% cotton. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, and non-stretch. The fabric weight is 120 g/m².

IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.

2. Lightweight interfacing, knit or woven, 140 cm (55") wide, 30 g/m², for all sizes in all heights — 0.1 m (4")

3. Stitched straight-grain fusible stay tape, 1 cm (3/8") wide, for all heights — 0.5 m (1/2 yd)

4. Elastic, 3 cm (1 1/8") wide, length depending on size — 88 cm (35"). The exact elastic length is specified in the pattern

5. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)

− sewing machine for construction 

− overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a
   zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length
   2.5 mm) 

− buttonhole foot for the sewing machine 

− stitch-in-the-ditch foot for the sewing machine (optional) 

− elastic threader (may be replaced with a safety pin)
