Gertrude coat
Gertrude is a semi-fitted padded coat with a straight silhouette. The bust darts have been transferred to the armscyes. There are welt pockets with sewn-on ends on the front. The coat has semi-fitted raglan sleeves featuring tabs secured with buttons and a turn-down collar with a collar stand. The detachable belt is padded. The coat is fully lined and has a hidden button and buttonhole closure at the center front. The right center front edge has horizontal reinforcement stitches. The collar, tabs, welts, and belt feature decorative topstitching. Gertrude is above-ankle length.
Model Emilia: Height 170 cm (5’7”), Bust 82 cm (32 1/4”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 91 cm (35 7/8”). Emilia is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time — 3 days (24 hours).

To sew this coat, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, structured, non-stretch or low-stretch;
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blended fibers (cotton + polyester, etc.), and synthetic fibers (polyester);
- the following fabrics are recommended: cotton gabardine, denim, eco-leather.
Attention! We do not recommend soft, lightweight (outerwear) fabrics.
For the nsulation, we recommend alpolux 100, isosoft 100, fibertec, hol ofiber, thinsulate, and synthetic padding 100.
For the lining, use lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blended fibers (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetic fibers (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The coat in the photo is made of cotton gabardine. The fabric is medium weight, structured, and low-stretch.
The fiber content is 50% cotton + 50% polyester. The fabric weight is 190 g/m².
The lining's fiber content is 45% viscose + 55% polyester. The fabric weight is 95 g/m².
The insulation is alp olux 100.
The fusible interfacing weight is 40 g/m².
