Hayden coat
Hayden is a semi-fitted trapeze coat with raglan sleeves flared at the hem. The bust darts have been transferred into the centre front seams. The front features welt pockets with curved edges. Hayden has a turn-down collar with a separate collar stand. It is ankle length and fully lined. The coat fastens with snaps.
Model Sofia: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Sofia is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time – 20 hours (2 days).
To sew this coat, choose suiting and coating fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, cashmere), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + cashmere, wool + polyester, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
The following fabrics are recommended: coating-weight cashmere or wool, heavyweight tweed.
Attention! We do not recommend using lightweight raincoat fabrics.
For the lining, we recommend using artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The coat in the photo is made of coating-weight cashmere. The fabric is medium weight, soft, malleable, non-stretch and has low pile. The fiber content is a blend of cashmere and wool.
The lining's fiber content is a blend of viscose and polyester.
