Joy parka
Joy is a loose-fitting, padded, straight-cut parka featuring yokes both on the front and back. There is a zippered welt chest pocket on the left front. At the hipline, there are shaped welt slash pockets on both front pieces. The casing sewn on along the waistline has a cord with stoppers threaded through it. The garment features an extended shoulder line and shirt sleeves with a relaxed fit. There is a patch pocket with a shaped flap on the right sleeve. The sleeves are finished with elasticated cuffs. A tall stand collar is completed with a detachable hood attached to the garment with a hidden zipper. The hood has a hook-and-loop (Velcro) fastener at the front. The parka closes with a zipper and snaps set on the inner side of the applied center front placket. Joy is fully lined and knee-length.
Model Sofia: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Sofia is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Model Yana: Height 174 cm (5’8”), Bust 107 cm (42 1/8”), Waist 87 cm (34 1/4”), Hips 122 cm (48”). Yana is wearing size XL in height 3.
Approximate sewing time – 24 hours (3 days).
To sew this parka, choose outerwear fabrics with the following properties:
- heavyweight, pliable, smooth, non-stretch or low-stretch
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (cotton + polyester, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
- the following fabrics are recommended: outerwear fabrics, gabardine, denim, corduroy.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy jersey fabrics, loop-textured fabrics, and thick, bulky fabrics (coating).
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The parka in the photo is made of outerwear fabric. This fabric is heavyweight, structured, non-stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester.
The lining's fiber content is a blend of viscose and polyester.
Alpolux 100 g/m2 was used as the insulation material.
