Madison jacket
Madison is an asymmetric loose-fitting jacket with a straight cut. The front features princess seams and two side zipper pockets. There is also a chest zipper pocket on the right side. The jacket closes with an off-center zipper in the left front princess seam. The back features a yoke, a center seam, and princess seams. The shoulder line is extended, the shoulder epaulets are secured with snaps. The jacket has set-in, loose-fitting, two-piece sleeves with slits in the elbow seam. The sleeves are finished with cuffs that close with snaps. The jacket has a turn-down collar with a collar stand. At the bottom of the jacket, there are side belts with buckles and grommets that are secured with belt loops. The jacket is lined and features topstitching. Madison is hip-length.
Model Ksenia: Bust 86cm (33 3/4”), Waist 63cm (24 3/4”), Hips 92cm (36 1/4), Height 171cm (5'7"). Ksenia is wearing size 36 in height 2.
Model Yana: Bust 108cm (42 1/2”), Waist 90cm (35 1/2”), Hips 128cm (50 1/2”), Height 174 (5'8”). Yana is wearing size 48 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time – 4 days (28-30 hours).
To sew this jacket, choose fabrics with the following properties:
- medium-weight, soft, non-stretch or low-stretch, opaque;
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (cotton), blends (cotton + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + polyurethane);
- the following fabrics are recommended: faux leather, faux suede, heavy denim, corduroy.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit materials (jersey fabrics), or lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).
For the lining, use lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The jacket in the photos is made of faux leather. The material is medium-weight, pliable, soft, low-stretch. The fiber content is a blend of polyurethane and polyester. The lining is 100% viscose.
