Maidy bomber jacket
Maidy is a semi-fitted bomber jacket with extended shoulders and a boxy silhouette. The front and back feature yokes and princess seams. There is a welt pocket in the princess seam of the right-hand side of the front. The left-hand side of the front features a chest zipper pocket. The stand collar is made of ribbing. The long set-in sleeves are made-up of two pieces. The bottom edge of the garment as well as the bottom edges of the sleeves are finished with ribbing. The bomber jacket is fully lined and fastens with a separating zipper. Maidy is below-waist length.
Approximate sewing time — 20 hours (3 days).
Model Lera: Height 169 cm (5'6"), Bust 82 cm (32 1/4"), Waist 60 cm (23 5/8"), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8"). Lera is wearing size 36 in height 3. The pattern was adjusted to fit the waist.
To sew this bomber jacket, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties:
- - heavyweight, structured, non-stretch or with very little stretch, stiff
- - the coating can be made from polyurethane, polyurethane foam and polyvinyl chloride
- - the fiber content of the backing can include artificial fibers (viscose) and synthetics (polyester)
- - the following fabrics are recommended: faux leather, faux suede with a woven or suede backing, real leather
To sew this bomber jacket, you may also choose the following fabrics:
- - denim (cotton or cotton + polyester)
- - lightweight suiting or coating fabric (wool + polyester or polyester)
Attention! We do not recommend malleable, stretchy fabrics (knit fabrics, stretch lace).
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The bomber jacket in the photo is made of faux leather. The fabric is medium weight and has very little stretch. The fiber content is a blend of polyurethane (45%) and viscose (55%). The fabric weight is 280 g/m2.
The fiber content of the lining is a blend of viscose (45%) and polyester (55%). The fabric weight is 100 g/m2.
