Sahana jacket
Sahana is a loose-fitting, straight-cut, fully lined jacket with patch pockets on the front and stitched pleats on the back. The jacket features a turn-down collar with a separate collar stand and closes with stud buttons and buttonholes at the center front. The loose-fitting shirt sleeves have darts at the hems and are finished with cuffs, each fastening with a stud button and a buttonhole. Sahana is below-hip length.
Model Alyona: Height 174 cm (5’8”), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 89 cm (35”). Alyona is wearing size XS–S in height 3.

To sew this jacket, choose outerwear fabrics with the following properties: heavyweight, structured, non-stretch or low-stretch. The fiber content can include natural fibers, artificial fibers, blends, or synthetics.
The following fabrics are recommended: outerwear gabardine, corduroy, denim.
Attention! We do not recommend soft and lightweight outerwear fabrics.
For the lining, we recommend lining fabrics made of artificial fibers, synthetic fibers, or blends.
For the insulation layer, choose 50 g/m2 and 100 g/m2 materials: alpolux, isosoft, thinsulate, holofiber, polyester batting, or use pre-quilted outerwear fabrics.
The jacket in the photo is made of corduroy. The fabric is medium weight, soft, and low-stretch. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 320 g/m2.
The fiber content of the lining is 100% viscose. The fabric weight is 100 g/m2.
The insulation material is alpolux 50 g/m2.

5. Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement, 1.5 cm (5/8") wide — 1.5 m (1 5/8 yd)
6. Seven (plus one or two spare ones) metal stud buttons for jeans, 1.5–2 cm (5/8–3/4") in diameter
7. Matching thread — 4 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 3 spools for the overlocker)
8. Matching topstitching thread (for example, Madeira No. 35) — 2 spools

- overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
