Candice pants
Candice is a pair of close-fitting flared trousers. There are slash pockets on the front, as well as a yoke and patch pockets on the back. Each of the back legs is made up of two pieces and has a seam at the knee level. The waistband features topstitched belt loops. The upper edge of the waistband sits at the natural waistline. The trousers have a fly front zipper closure. The waistband fastens with a set-in snap. The trousers feature decorative topstitching along the pockets, waistband, belt loops, crotch and side seams. Candice is below-ankle length.
Model Ksenia: Height 171 cm (5’7”), Bust 86 cm (33 7/8”), Waist 63 cm (24 3/4”), Hips 92 cm (36 1/4”). Ksenia is wearing size 36 in height 2.
Approximate sewing time — 2 days (12–16 hours).
To sew these trousers, choose fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, soft, low or medium stretch
- the coating can be made from polyurethane, polyurethane foam and polyvinyl chloride
- the fiber content of the backing can include natural fibers (cotton), artificial fibers (viscose) and synthetics (polyester)
- the following fabrics are recommended: faux leather, faux suede with a woven or suede backing, real leather
The trousers in the photo are made of faux leather. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, soft and with very little stretch. The fiber content is a blend: 45% polyurethane and 55% viscose. The fabric weight is 360 g/m2.

4. One closed-bottom metal zipper No. 5, 20 cm (7 7/8") long, for all sizes in all heights
5. Two top zipper stoppers for adjusting the zipper length
6. Stitched straight-grain fusible stay tape, 1 cm (3/8") wide — 3 m (3 1/4 yd)
7. Paper-backed fusible web tape, 1 cm (3/8") wide — 10 m (10 7/8 yd)
8. Double-sided adhesive tape, 1 cm (3/8”) wide — 2 m (2 1/8 yd)
9. One set-in snap, 0.7–1 cm (1/4–3/8”) in diameter
10. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)
11. Matching topstitching thread (for example, Madeira No. 35) — 1 spool
- sewing machine for construction
- overlocker for finishing raw edges of the slash pocket lining. It can be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
- stitch-in-the-ditch foot for the sewing machine (optional)
- one-sided foot for the sewing machine to attach the zipper
- teflon or walking foot for the sewing machine
- press tool for installing snaps
