Elanor is a pair of semi-fitted trousers with a straight silhouette. The front leg pieces feature pleats that flow into pressed creases, and the back leg pieces have waist darts. There are pockets in the side seams. The trousers have no waistband, and the waist is finished with a facing. The front and back leg pieces have topstitched belt loops sitting 2.5 cm (1”) below the top edge. The trousers close with a fly front zipper and a hook-and-eye closure, and sit 6 cm (2 3/8”) below the natural waistline. The trousers are below-ankle length.

Model Isabel: Height 170 cm (5′7″), Bust 85 cm (33 1/2”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 92 cm (36 1/4”). Isabel is wearing size 36 in height 3.

Approximate sewing time: 1 day (8 hours).

To sew these trousers, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties: medium-weight, soft, non-stretch or low-stretch.The fiber content can include natural, artificial, blended, or synthetic fibers.

The following fabrics are recommended: wool suiting, linen, and polyviscose.

For the lining, we recommend using lining fabrics made of artificial, blended, or synthetic fibers.

The trousers in the photo are made of suiting fabric. The fabric is medium weight, soft, and low-stretch. The fiber content is 89% wool + 9% polyamide + 2% elastane. The fabric weight is 235 g/m².

The lining fabric is made of 45% viscose + 55% polyester. The lining fabric weight is 100 g/m².

IMPORTANT! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.

3. Lightweight interfacing, knit or woven, 140 cm (55”) wide, for all sizes in all heights — 30 cm (11 3/4”).

4. Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement, 1.5 cm (5/8”) wide — 1.63 m (1 3/4 yd).

5. Stitched straight-grain fusible stay tape, 1 cm (3/8”) wide — 0.6 m (5/8 yd).

6. One trouser zipper, 25 cm (10”) long, for all sizes in all heights.

7. One hook-and-eye closure.

8. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker).

− overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
