Inga shorts
Inga is a pair of semi-fitted, low-waist shorts with a straight silhouette. The front has pleats and pressed creases. The back is fitted with waist darts. The side seams have inseam pockets. The waistband sits 6 cm (2 3/8”) below the natural waistline. It features belt loops and button tabs for volume adjustment and closes with hooks and bars. The shorts have a fly front zipper closure and are below-knee length.
Model Diana: Height 172 cm (5′6″), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 61 cm (24”), Hips 89 cm (35”). Diana is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time – 1.5 day (12 hours).
To sew these shorts, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties: medium meight, non-stretch or low-stretch.
The fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial fibers (viscose), blended fibers (wool + silk, wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetic fibers (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The following fabrics are recommended: wool suiting, cotton suiting, gabardine.
Lightweight suiting fabrics are not recommended.
For the lining, use lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blended fibers (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetic fibers (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The shorts in the photo are made of suiting fabric. The fabric is medium weight, soft, low-stretch, and structured. The fiber content is a blend of 40% cotton and 60% viscose. The fabric weight is 320 g/m².
The lining is made of 45% viscose and 55% polyester. The fabric weight is 50 g/m².

4. Stitched straight-grain fusible stay tape, 1 cm (3/8") wide — 160 cm (63").
5. One pant zipper, 20 cm (7 7/8") long, for all sizes and heights.
6. Two sew-on pant hook-and-bar closures.
7. Four buttons, 1.5 cm (5/8") in diameter.
8. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker).
