Dannay corset belt
Dannay is a semi-fitted lined peplum corset belt with an accentuated waist. The silhouette is shaped with front and back princess seams. The decorative placket with grommets forms the lace-up front. The shaped hem features decorative straps with metal sliders and garter clips. The corset belt has an applied shaped waistband made up of several parts. Dannay fastens with an exposed separating zipper and features a placket in the center back seam. The corset belt is decorated with topstitching and is below-hip length.
Model Elizabeth: Height 177 cm (5’10”), Bust 82 cm (32 1/4”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 91 cm (35 7/8”). Elizabeth is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time — 2 days (16 hours).
To sew this corset belt, choose fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, soft, non- or low-stretch, opaque
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (cotton + viscose, etc.), synthetics (polyester), polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with a knit or woven backing
- the following fabrics are recommended: heavyweight denim, leather, faux leather, suede
Attention! We do not recommend thin dress-weight fabrics.
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The corset belt in the photo is made of faux leather. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, soft, low-stretch and has a knit backing. The wrong side has a suede effect. The fiber content is a blend of polyester (45%) and polyurethane (55%). The fabric weight is 350 g/m2.
The lining's fiber content is a blend of viscose (45%) and polyester (55%). The fabric weight is 100 g/m2.
The interfacing weight is 70 g/m2.
