Demi blouse
Demi is a relaxed-fit blouse with a straight silhouette. The front features bust darts and the back features shoulder darts as well as a center seam. The long, set-in sleeve has a loose fit. The crew neckline features a button and button loop closure. The side seams are split at the hem. Demi is hip length, with the front 4cm (1 5/8”) shorter than the back.
Model Sofia: Height 172cm (5’8”), Bust 84cm (33 1/8”), Waist 64cm (25 1/4”), Hips 90cm (35 3/8”). Sofia is wearing size 36, height 3.
Approximate sewing time — 1 day (6–8 hours).
To sew this blouse, choose woven fabrics with the following properties:
- Light to medium weight, fluid, breathable, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch;
- The fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.) and synthetic (polyester, polyester + elastane);
- The following fabrics are recommended: chiffon, crepe de chine, silk, silk crepe, silk atlas, cupro, cady, lace, dress-weight wool, silk velvet.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knits and heavy weight fabrics (suitings, tweed, denim).
The blouse in the photo is made of 100% cupro. This fabric is medium weight, fluid, soft, smooth, has good drape and very little stretch.

Important! When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.
2. Lightweight woven or knit fusible interfacing, 140cm (55”) wide, for all sizes and heights — 15 cm (5 7/8”)
3. One button, 0.7–1 cm (1/4”–3/8”) in diameter
4. Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement — 1 m (1 1/8 yd)
5. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine and 4 spools for the overlocker)
- Sewing machine for construction;
- Overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2-3mm, stitch length 2.5mm);
- Stitch-in-the-ditch foot for your sewing machine (optional).
