Georgie is a fitted cropped blouse. The center front features a cutout finished with drawstring casings and gathered with ties. The front hem has an elastic casing. The blouse has a split back. The two back parts are joined with long ties forming a bow. The blouse has a deep V-neckline on the front and back. The short set-in puffed sleeves are above elbow-length. The sleeves are gathered at the cap and have an elastic casing at the hem.

  • Finishing the side edges of the Georgie Blouse

To sew this blouse, choose woven fabrics with the following properties:

- light to medium weight, low drape, non-stretch;

- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk, cotton, linen), artificial (acetate, viscose), blends (cotton + viscose, etc) and synthetics (polyester);

- the following fabrics are recommended: sateen, poplin, linen, broderie, opaque cotton shirting, viscose, batiste.

For the lining, the following fabrics are recommended: cotton shirting, poplin, batiste.

The blouse in the photos is made from 100% linen. The fabric is medium-weight, without stretch. The lining is made from 100% cotton batiste.

5. Matching thread - 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine and 4 spools for the overlocker).

- sewing machine for construction;

- overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2-3mm, stitch length 2.5mm);

- edgestitch foot for the sewing machine (optional);

- loop turner;

- bodkin / elastic threader;

- buttonhole foot for the sewing machine.
