Mallory blouse
Mallory is a semi-fitted blouse with a straight cut. It is shaped with front bust darts and back shoulder darts. The deep V-neckline is trimmed with flounces falling from the shoulder seam down to the bottom of the garment. The blouse closes with an applied center front button placket. The long, drop-shoulder, set-in sleeves are finished with asymmetric flounces. Mallory is below-hip length.
Model Varvara: Height 174 cm (5’8”), Bust 86 cm (33 7/8”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 92 cm (36 1/4”). Varvara is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time – 2 days (16 hours).
To sew this blouse, choose blouse and dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- lightweight, pliable, soft, non-stretch or low-stretch, sheer, semi-sheer or opaque
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk, cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (cotton + silk, cotton + viscose, silk + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)
- the following fabrics are recommended: satin, dress-weight viscose, chiffon, crepe de chine, natural or synthetic lightweight silk.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit materials or structured fabrics (sateen, organza).
The blouse in the photos is made of crinkle chiffon. The fabric is lightweight, sheer, pliable, soft, with a little stretch. The fiber content is 100% tencel. The fabric weight is 150 g/m2. The interfacing weight is 30 g/m2.
