Romola is a semi-fitted blouse with a straight cut. The right front features a pleat with an asymmetrical bottom edge. The pleat is secured with a button on the left front. The blouse has a turn-down shirt collar with a separate collar stand. The back is fitted with princess seams. The long, set-in, drop-shoulder shirt sleeves have pleats at the bottom and a slit finished with bias binding. The sleeves are finished with cuffs that close with buttons and buttonholes. The blouse has a grown-on center front placket with a button and buttonhole closure. Romola is below-hip length.

Model Maria: Height 175 cm (5’7”), Bust 86 cm (33 7/8”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 90 cm (35”). Alia is wearing size 36 in height 3. 

Approximate sewing time — 1 day (8 hours).

To sew this blouse, choose shirting and dress-weight fabrics with the following properties: soft, non-stretch or low-stretch, medium weight, pliable. The fiber content can include natural, artificial, blended, or synthetic fibers.
The following fabrics are recommended: shirting fabrics, cotton, linen, denim shirting.

Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics or lightweight sheer fabrics (chiffon, organza, stretch lace).

The blouse in the photo is made of shirting fabric. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, soft, and low-stretch. The fiber content is 100% cotton. The fabric weight is 150 g/m².

3. Thirteen buttons, 0.7–1 cm (1/4–3/8") in diameter

4. One clear backing button, 5 mm (just under 1/4”) in diameter

5. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)
