Aiza skirt
Aiza is a semi-fitted skirt with a straight silhouette. The top edge is finished with a lining and grosgrain ribbon and sits 4 cm (1 5/8”) below the waistline. The belt loops are topstitched to the top edge. The back is fitted with waist darts and a center seam. The center back seam features an invisible zipper closure and a slit. The free-hanging lining works as a design feature and peeks out from underneath the skirt by 2.5 cm (1”). Aiza is below-knee length.
Model Isabel: Height 170 cm (5′7″), Bust 85 cm (33 1/2”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 92 cm (36 1/4”). Isabel is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time – 1 day (8 hours).
To sew this skirt, choose medium-weight, non-stretch, structured dress-weight suiting fabrics made of natural, artificial, blended, or synthetic fibers.
The following fabrics are recommended: denim, poplin, sateen, shirting fabric, and cotton.
For the lining, use lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blended fibers (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetic fibers (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The skirt in the photo is made of cotton suiting fabric. The fabric is medium weight, low-stretch, and structured. The fiber content is 97% cotton + 3% elastane. The fabric weight is 215 g/m².
The lining is made of shirting fabric. The fiber content is 76% cotton + 22% polyester + 2% elastane. The fabric weight is 130 g/m².

8. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)
