Delma skirt
Delma is a voluminous balloon skirt with a relaxed fit, flared towards the bottom. The skirt is fully finished with a lining made of the main fabric. It has no waistband and sits below the natural waistline. The skirt fastens with an invisible zipper in the center back seam. The asymmetric hem is gathered for the balloon style silhouette. The skirt is available in above-knee and midi length options.
Approximate sewing time — 1 day (8 hours).
Model Varvara: Height 174 cm (5’8”), Bust 86 cm (33 7/8”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 92 cm (36 1/4”). Varvara is wearing size 36 in height 3.
To sew this skirt, choose dress-weight fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, with good drape, non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque, structured
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, silk, cotton, linen), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
- The following fabrics are recommended: heavyweight sateen, shirting, taffeta.
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy fabrics.
For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The skirt in the photo is made of dress-weight fabric. The fabric is medium weight, structured, non-stretch and with good drape. The fiber content is 100% polyester. The fabric weight is 130 g/m2.
The lining is made of the main fabric.
