Haida is a semi-fitted A-line wrap skirt with a facing. The front and back feature waist darts and topstitched decorative flaps with rounded corners. The skirt fastens with buckles. Haida is fully lined and is above-the-knee length.
Model Ulyana: Height 176 cm (5’9”), Bust 83 cm (32 5/8”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Ulyana is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time ― 1.5 days (10 hours).
To sew the skirt, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties:
- medium weight, malleable, soft, non-stretch or with very little stretch
- the fiber content can include natural fibers (wool, cotton), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool+ polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane)
- the following fabrics are recommended: wool suiting, gabardine, corduroy, suede, faux leather
Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knits, thin fabrics (dress-weight wool) and heavyweight suiting (woven felt).
For the lining, we recommend artificial fibers (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester) or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The garment in the photo is made of suiting. This fabric is medium weight, malleable, soft and with very little stretch. The fiber content is a blend of polyester, viscose and elastane.
The lining is 100% viscose.
