Lotta is a semi-fitted A-line skirt featuring pleats that are stitched down to 10 cm (4") below the top edge. The top edge of the skirt sits 4–5 cm (1 1/2–2") below the natural waistline. The garment has no waistband and its top edge is finished with binding. It closes with an invisible zipper in the left side seam. Lotta is above-knee length.

Model Dasha: Height 174 cm (5'8"), Bust 83 cm (32 5/8”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 89 cm (35”). Dasha is wearing size 36 in height 3.

Approximate sewing time – 1 day (8 hours).

To sew this skirt, choose dress-weight or suiting fabrics with the following properties: medium-weight, pliable, non-stretch or low-stretch, opaque, made of natural, artificial, synthetic fibers, or blends.

Recommended fabrics: twill, gabardine.

Attention! We do not recommend stretchy knit fabrics.

The skirt in the photos is made of dress-weight twill. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, soft, with a little stretch. The fiber content is 90% viscose and 10% polyester. The fabric weight is 190 g/m2.

IMPORTANT!When purchasing fabric, please account for shrinkage and buy 5% more than required.

2. Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape with stitch reinforcement, 1.5 cm (5/8") wide – 0.4 m (3/8 yd).

3. One invisible zipper, 18 cm (7 1/8") long, for all sizes and heights.

4. Matching thread – 4 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 3 spools for the overlocker).

- overlocker for finishing raw edges. It can be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
