Model Tatiana: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 85 cm (33 1/2”), Waist 62 cm (24 3/8”), Hips 88 cm (34 5/8”). Eva is wearing size 36 in height 3.
Approximate sewing time — 1 day (8 hours).
To sew this skirt, choose medium-weight, soft, stretchy or low-stretch knit fabrics (1.2–1.8 stretch factor) made of natural, artificial, blended, or synthetic fibers.
The following fabrics are recommended: three-thread fleece knits, jersey fabrics, and sweater knits.
Attention! We recommend using only stretchy knit fabrics for this skirt.
You can determine the fabric’s stretch factor yourself: mark a 10 cm (4") section across the width, stretch it, and divide the stretched length by 10 to get the stretch factor.
The skirt in the photo is made of double-layer knit. The fabric is medium weight, soft, and low-stretch. The fiber content is 68% polyester + 29% viscose + 3% elastane. Fabric weight is 400 g/m². Stretch factor: 1.4.

4. Twill tape for slit reinforcement, 2–3 cm (3/4–1 1/8") wide — 5 cm (2") long, for all sizes and heights
5. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)
- sewing machine for construction
- overlocker for construction and finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)
- coverstitch or coverlock machine for finishing the garment hem. If you don’t have a coverstitch machine, it can be replaced with a twin needle on any regular sewing machine that can do a zigzag stitch
- loop turner
IMPORTANT! We recommend using specialty needles when working with knit fabrics (for example, STRETCH, SUPER STRETCH, JERSEY, etc.). These are ballpoint needles, so they part the threads of the fabric you are stitching without piercing them.
