Polly is a semi-fitted skirt with a straight silhouette. The skirt is designed with two flounces over the lining and an elastic waistband. Polly is above-knee length.

Model Sofia: Height 172 cm (5’8”), Bust 84 cm (33 1/8”), Waist 64 cm (25 1/4”), Hips 90 cm (35 3/8”). Sofia is wearing size 36 in height 3.

Approximate sewing time ― 1/2 day (4 hours).

To sew this skirt, choose dress-weight and suiting fabrics with the following properties:

- lightweight to medium weight, structured and non-stretch

- the fiber content can include natural fibers (silk, cotton, linen), artificial fibers (viscose), blends (cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetics (polyester)

- the following fabrics are recommended: satin, poplin, linen, cotton eyelet fabric, cotton shirting.

For the lining, we recommend cotton shirting, satin, poplin, linen, batiste.

Attention! We do not recommend using stretchy knit materials. The fabric has to be structured.

The garment in the photo is made of cotton eyelet fabric. This fabric is medium weight, non-stretch, and structured. The fiber content is 100% cotton.

4. Matching thread — 5 spools (1 spool for the sewing machine + 4 spools for the overlocker)

- sewing machine for construction

- overlocker for finishing raw edges. This may be replaced with a stretch overlock stitch or a zigzag stitch on the sewing machine (overlock or zigzag stitch width 2–3 mm, stitch length 2.5 mm)

- stitch-in-the-ditch foot for the sewing machine (optional)

- tool (safety pin) for the elastic
