The Best Haute Couture FW 2024/2025 Shows

June 24-27, 2024, was the Haute Couture FW 2024/25 week. And of course, we want to talk about it! We’ve picked out 7 most spectacular shows to discuss with you. Keep scrolling!

Daniel Roseberry creates real wonders for Schiaparelli and fashion history in general. This time, the magnificent and truly breathtaking couture show was called “The Phoenix”, with all the looks reflecting the theme of revival. The designer masterfully worked with Elsa Schiaparelli archives and created a beautiful collection full of stunning details.

Iris van Herpen’s haute couture was impressive, to say the least. The designer decided to make an art performance instead of a classic fashion show. The models stood on gigantic canvases wearing special pedestal shoes. The collection featured only five looks, and all of them were created with a 3D printer.

Dior drew inspiration from Ancient Greece’s Olympics and Faith Ringold’s art works. It all resulted in lightweight tunics and figure-hugging jumpsuits on the runway.

Thom Brown was also working with the Olympics theme, but the collection looked nothing like Dior’s.

This time, the couture collection for Jean Paul Gaultier was curated by Courrèges’s Nicola di Felice. For a few seasons now the brand has been inviting different designers to work with Jean Paul Gaultier’s legacy and creative DNA.

The show was gorgeous, however, there was nothing referencing Gaultier. Only the smallest details were hinting at Jean Paul’s archives, so it is difficult to read for anyone not so familiar with the brand’s history. Nevertheless, it is always exciting to see what the new designer has to offer.

Viktor&Rolf doesn’t offer anything but crazy. In a good way. The new collection reveals that the brand has done a tremendous archive study. This year, the show was inspired by the 1998 Atomic Bomb collection that was dedicated to the nuclear war scare.

Surreal and ridiculous was the haute couture collection by Robert Wun. There were a lot of references to Mexican culture including Day of the Dead and his own previous collection. Beautiful, spectacular, and kind of crazy.

What’s not to like here? We hope we’ve made you extra excited to create something worthy of a couture show for this summer. Explore the Vikisews pattern selection to find something very special for the season.
