How to hem a shirt with bias tape

How to hem a shirt with bias tape

Save this new sewing hack from the Vikisews sewing tutorials collection.

1️. Place the bias tape to the shirt, right sides together, and align the edges all along the bottom.

2️. Fold the grown-on placket over to the right side of the fabric and then place the bias tape on top of it.

3️. Stitch right over the fold that is closest to the edge, attaching the bias tape to the fabric. Press the seam. Clip the corner at the placket.

4️. Fold the bias tape over to the wrong side of the shirt. Turn the placket corner right side out.

5️. Stitch from the wrong side of the fabric 1 mm away from the edge of the placket and bias tape, all in one go.

Now that’s beautiful! How do you like it?
